After some minor delays due to manufacturing issues it seems that you can now buy Asus Eee 8G from Amazon. Amazon has a listing for a black Asus Eee PC with 1GB RAM, 8GB SSD and all the other regular features on the Eee PC. If you buy Asus Eee 8G you will receive it in 3-6 weeks according to the listing, however, Amazon is notorious in overestimating its shipping times and there is a good chance if you buy Asus Eee 8G from Amazon that you may receive it before the minimum 3 weeks.

The Asus 8G Eee PC had some flash-based storage issues so it has been off the market for some time. But now it seems you will will be able to buy Asus Eee from vendors, Amazon being the first one to list it on their site. Asus announced in early February that due to a minor hardware issue relating to the flash-based storage there would be a delay in shipments. Of course, this drove the price at which people could buy Asus Eee 8G up. On eBay they were going for $700, however you can now buy Asus Eee 8G on Amazon from $542.99.
