Some Eee PC 900 owners in UK have probably noticed that their laptop's battery doesn't quite provide as much power as it used to: struggling to last for more than 90 minutes. Asus has announced a scheme which will let Eee 900 owners pick up a beefier battery for a small fee. With this upgrade the British Eee PC 900's will be on the same level as the American Eee PC 900's.

The Eee PC 900 in America ships with a 5800 mAh battery, whereas the British one ships with a 4440 mAh version battery. I think, though they should have gone with giving it away free, rather than charge for it, it is still a sign that they are listening to their customers and willing to go to certain lengths to keep them happy.
