Computex 2008, which is a trade-show of computer manufacturers and computer enthusiasts in Taiwan, had on display an Eee PC 901. Actually the 901 has been released for sale in Taiwan as well. The specifications on it are: Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 12GB flash storage, 1GB DDR RAM, Win XP, WiFi, etc. It has been reported that the finishing and the overall build quality of the 901 is better than the original Eee PC.
Apparently the display is the same as the old one. Personally, I liked the old display as it did its job fine, so that is good. An improvement that touch-typists will appreciate is that the keyboard has been improved to make it easier to type. Of course, it is not going to be as easy as a normal, full keyboard, but your speed will definitely increase over the old one (unless you have impossibly skinny fingers and flexible fingers). Overall, this is a drastic and much wanted improvement, if the Eee PC wasn't selling yet, it is for sure going to sell like hot cakes now.
