At CeBit 08 Asus announced the successor to the wildly successful Eee PC. It has a faster CPU, larger screen (9 inches), double the RAM memory, an increase in hard drive space (12GB), and it retains the biggest selling point of the Eee PC: a small footprint. It will also be available in a variety of colors. There is no word on when it will be available to purchase.

Asus is not sitting on its laurels, they realize they have hit a lucrative and important niche that was left unfulfilled and they are doing their best to really deliver. I have two models of the Eee PC, and unlike most first generation machines, both work flawlessly. Of course, if you have been a fan of Asus motherboards this comes as no surprise, because in that field they are one of the best players in the market.
