Well it seems the large and unstoppable group on the Internet that kept on petitioning and lobbying Microsoft to not stop selling Windows XP this summer has finally gotten their wish. There have been demonstrations and massive petitions that hundreds of thousands have signed online asking Microsoft to keep on selling Windows XP.
It seems that the Ultra low costs PC (ULCPCs) have saved the day. This new class was definined by the Asus Eee PC when it was first released. Microsoft has sited this new class of ultra mobile PCs as the reason to extend the life-span of Win XP to 2010. Of course, this is a huge win for Windows XP fans as well as Asus Eee PC fans.
